On a personal note, my husband, Jon, and I are embracing summer's delights. We live on 30 acres at the Red Cedar River and hop on the pontoon nightly to catch up with friends. A pair of eagles occupy the tree next to our deck, along with an assortment of deer and turkeys. Jon, a proud US Navy veteran, retired from teaching at Chippewa Valley Technical College in 2023 and has taken over the advertising and book work at the office.
